The Information We Collect
Virco may collect and store information you provide to our website that facilitates completion of your order. We keep a record of the information you provide us when you create an account, place an order, email, call, or fax us. By keeping this information, it helps us better process and track your orders. Some of the information that we keep includes things such as:

- Shipping Address
- Billing Address
- Email Address
- Phone number
- Company Name
- Any other information you choose to provide
The Way We Use Information
We use the information you provide about yourself when requesting information in order to fulfill that request, and for our internal accounting and other information-keeping records related to your purchases of Virco products. We respect your privacy; therefore, we do not share this information with outside parties except to the extent necessary to complete your requests, or as noted below in the section entitled Our Commitment to Data Security.
We use return e-mail addresses to answer the e-mail we receive. Such addresses may also be used for customer service purposes; such as sending you order updates. Your email addresses are not shared with outside parties. We use your mailing address to send you literature that you request about our products, billing invoices, and other written materials related to our products. We use your shipping address; to the extent it is different from your mailing address, to ship your orders as well as to send you information on our products that you have requested. We do share your shipping information with our product suppliers and shipping companies to facilitate the delivery of your orders. We use your telephone number to contact you, if necessary, to assist in shipping.
Social Media
We do not provide Social Media link buttons on our website. We do this to protect your privacy. Sites that provide these link buttons agree to allow those Social Media companies to track all the user’s movement and actions while visiting their site (even if you are not logged into those social media accounts at that time). We choose not to allow this. You may, at your discretion, choose to post things from our site to Social Media. If you do, any tracking that occurs will be based on your choice to post this information with a third party site. We will never track your movement on our site, nor use information on specific pages you have visited to drive targeted advertisements after you leave our site.
Cookies
Your Internet web browser has a feature called a “cookie” that assigns an identification code to your computer. Cookies are files that are placed on your computer’s hard drive to keep track of the sites you have visited on the Internet. We do not use cookies on our site, however your internet browser may.
Our Commitment to Data Security
We work to protect the security of your information during transmission by using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL), which encrypts information you input. We will transmit the entire credit card number to the appropriate credit card company during order processing.
To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the correct use of information, we use encryption technology to keep your personal information safe. All your order information, including your first and last name and billing and shipping addresses, is encrypted using a secure server for your protection. Please note that email is not encrypted and is not considered to be a secure means of transmitting credit card information.
Virco fully cooperates with law enforcement agencies in identifying those who use our services for illegal activities. We reserve the right to release information about persons whom we believe are in violation of our content guidelines. We also reserve the right to report to law enforcement agencies any activities that we reasonably believe to be unlawful. Additionally, we may disclose information about you if we determine that for national security, or other issues of public importance, disclosure is necessary.
Our Commitment to Children’s Policy
Protecting the privacy of the very young is especially important to us. For that reason, we never collect or maintain information on our website from those we actually know are under the age of 13, and no part of our website is structured to attract anyone under 13.
Changes To Our Policy
We reserve the right to modify our privacy statement at any time, so please review it frequently. We will post any changes here and in other appropriate places so you’ll always know what information we collect, how we keep it safe and under what circumstances we share it. If we make material changes to our policy, we will notify you here, by the email associated with your account, or by means of a notice on our homepage.
